Employee Engagement Through Our Q2 Team Catch-Up

Employee engagement is more than recognizing achievements or hosting team activities—it’s about creating meaningful opportunities for people to connect, reflect, and grow together. As a remote-first organization, we believe that fostering genuine relationships is just as important as achieving business goals.

On June 30, 2026, our team gathered for another edition of Beyond the Screens, our quarterly virtual team catch-up designed to strengthen workplace culture and encourage meaningful team connection. Guided by the theme “Together Through Change,” this quarter’s session invited everyone to pause from their day-to-day responsibilities, reflect on the experiences that shaped Q2, and reconnect with colleagues in a more personal way.

For remote teams, these moments of connection don’t always happen naturally. That’s why we intentionally create opportunities for our consultants and team members to come together—not just to discuss work, but to celebrate milestones, share experiences, and strengthen the relationships that make collaboration possible.

Reflecting on the Quarter together

This quarter’s catch-up began with a simple yet meaningful question:

“What’s your word for Q2?”

Each participant described the past quarter using just one word before sharing the story behind it. While the words varied from growth and resilience to gratitude and learning they reflected the unique experiences that shaped everyone’s journey.

The conversation reminded us that every team member experiences change differently, yet those individual stories collectively shape our company culture.

Throughout the session, we also took time to recognize the moments that defined the quarter. We honored the memory of a valued colleague whose contributions continue to be remembered, while also warmly welcoming back our HR Manager following her maternity leave. These moments reflected both the challenges and milestones that our team experienced together, reinforcing the importance of supporting one another through every season.

Building Team Connection Through Shared Experiences

Beyond reflection, the session encouraged collaboration through interactive activities designed to bring everyone together.

Our returning favorite, Let’s Jam, filled the virtual room with laughter as participants enthusiastically completed song lyrics and even volunteered to sing. Friendly competition, shared laughs, and a few well-earned prizes made the activity one of the highlights of the afternoon.

During our Carry Forward, Leave Behind reflection, participants shared the habits, mindsets, and goals they wanted to bring into the next quarter, while identifying doubts and hesitations they hoped to leave behind. It was encouraging to see a common desire for personal growth, continuous learning, and renewed motivation.

The session concluded with a surprise raffle, adding one final moment of excitement and appreciation before everyone returned to work.
